This is just so beautiful.
This is the sister quilt to the Metro Rings client quilt I blogged about earlier. Made by sisters at a workshop. The pattern is from Sew Kind of Wonderful.
The bitty pieces in the rings received straight lines. I extensively used the QCR Curvit ruler (no affiliation, just a fan) - the longarm ruler designed to work with this pattern. The arcs in the border are with this ruler, and straight line beadboard / piano keys are above the arcs.
The melon shape in the middle of the arcs was echoed with the same curve, and filled with ovals.
The back is a cream on cream print.
The batting was an 80/20, the top thread is So Fine 402, a nice creamy colour, and the bobbin thread is Omni.

The blocks created where the arcs meet has an echoed triangle, which makes a lovely star when the whole block is viewed. This design is also on the Metro Rings v1 - a shared design element for the sisters :)
The whitespace between the arcs received a curved crosshatch using the same Curvit ruler.
A few photos to enjoy ...
