Client Quilt - Starry Night

This thing we do can be so full of joy and beautiful things.  This quilt was on my frame recently.
From the talented hands of @quiltoni, another of her pixel creations.
Toni is a Bernina ambassador, so naturally it was quilted on my beautiful Bernina Q24.
Have you deciphered the pixels?
The detail is exquisite.
So starry!
A quiet village with a church spire is detailed below the sky exploding in stars.
It is! It is a pixelated quilt inspired by Van Gogh's Starry Night!
The little bits come together when you step back for a wider perspective.
The cypress is captured in darker tones.

Whirling, swirling light moves across the night sky.
Tried to capture some of the brush stroke movements in the quilting.
Swirls and whooshes across the sky.

Outside photo captures the dimensions.
Serious eye candy.
Just takes my breath away.
I had also just finished Marta Molnar's "The Secret Life of Sunflowers", an amazing historical fiction.
The back shows the texture stitches.
Ahhhhhhmazing.
The pixelated pattern.  Available in stores soon!!
In preparing to quilt this quilt, I discovered this earlier rendition of Vincent's vision.  The sepia tones really show the movement and helped in deciding on some of the quilting choices.

There are  201,728 freehand stitches with my Bernina Q24 in this beauty.  The batting is Hobbs 100% wool.  Glide threads - Bark, Tar Heel, Thyme, Cork, Cleopatra.

Toni creates these designs pixel by pixel in cross stitch software.
