This amazing client quilt from @LosingMyBobbins is a spectacular "Biscotti" quilt.
A quiltmaking process developed by @justanotherautisticguy, named "Biscotti" for the biscotti cookie. Biscotti are apparently baked twice, the making of this quilt design is to make a quilt, then cut it up to create blocks with all of these lovely angles.
Elaine made this quilt for a special someone who likes camo colours. The quilting was done with randomly spaced straight lines, in a variety of thread colours matching the colours in the quilt: Mossy, Basil, Light Olive, Thyme, Warm Grey 4, Leather, Light Copper, Khaki and Cool Grey 3. all Hab 'n Dash Glide thread.
This photo from Elaine outdoors captures the amazing texture of the lines as well as the very modern look of the angles created by the #BiscottiQuilt process.
The full view of the quilt top shows the sparkle that the angles creates.
The texture of the quilt and quilting is so yummy.
I really love all of the interest and movement of the angles.
The random spacing of the straight line quilting is a great echo of the random angles in the piecing.
There were lots of favourite fabrics in this piece!
The back of the quilt had more biscotti blocks, upsized!
My Bernina Q24 recorded +93,000 stitches in this 55 1/2" x 78" quilt.
