This gorgeous quilt from client @muchlovequilts is one that is staying with her! Her Hubby requested a quilt that had similar colours to the “Aurora” quilt she made previously. This is an Irish Chain quilt with many random scraps plus the Kona Cosmos accent and Grunge Smoke background. This was a sew along with @corianderquilts.
Check out the fussy cut ombre borders - darker in the corners and lighter in the middles.
Her collection of scraps is very eclectic and it's so fun to see bits from previous quilts as I'm working on the quilt.
The digital design, "Paradoxical" was her choice on this quilt. It's a great design for a geometric feel and gives great texture.
The Kona "Cosmos" (colour of the year 2022) fabric really makes this quilt sing!
Sheila's skillful colour placement really shows that scrappy can be very elegant.
I managed to not get any photos of the back, except for the wee peek below with the quilt still on the frame. It's a very vibrant Henry Glass print.
This is the digital design, Paradoxical, from the Longarm League
Hab 'n Dash Glide "Avocado" is a beautiful green that worked really well with all the colours in this quilt.
Batting is Quilters Dream 100% Cotton, Select loft. My Bernina Q24 with QMatic recorded just over 200,000 stitches in this beauty.
