This glorious 93" square quilt is from @blue_trillium_quilter, the pattern is one of Border Creek Station's magnificent mystery quilts.
The masterful selection of fabrics - low volume backgrounds, delicate colours of the star centres and all the gorgeous blues - gather together to sing in a beautiful quilty chorus!
We liked Karlee Porter's "Clam Glam" digital designs, and picking just one was too hard!
Selecting seven of the Clam Glam designs, they were arranged together into a row, and then offset to create a zig zag of the designs down through the quilt. The end result is delicious texture, and when you come closer you see the beautiful shapes of the clams.
Did I mention the meticulous skill of this quilter? Every point is crisp and full. What a treat to quilt these quilts! I get to admire the beauty of the fabric and the construction. The pattern creates intersecting designs as the blocks come together.
This is the back of the quilt, a very calm Moda Grunge light blue, and shows the quilting design beautifully.
The quilt was stitched with Hab 'n Dash Glide White thread. We used Quilters Dream "Dream Puff" batting to bump up the stitch definition - it's a very lofty batting. My Bernina Q24 with QMatic recorded 174,884 beautiful stitches.
