This amazing client quilt is "Deco", a quilt pattern from Lo & Behold Stitchery. You will see it hanging soon at Stache Fabrics & Notions in beautiful, downtown London ON.
It's a bold, beautiful quilt pattern! I really love the colour combinations in this quilt.
In the big solid blocks, I placed "Clam Glams" - digital designs from Karlee Porter. The checkerboard blocks have simple continuous curves in the background red, allowing the cream and black to pop forward.
In the log cabin-ish blocks, I've stitched 1/4" straight lines in the background fabric, letting the beautiful blues come forward. The central blocks have triple arcs grouped to create a star/flower. Simple overlapping triangles in the cream blocks echo the stars in their block background.
I used five different Clam Glam designs, and stitched them upright in the top row, and reversed in the bottom row.
The black Fireside backing showcases the stitching.
A fun mix of free motion, ruler work and digital quilting.
Thread in this beauty - Hab 'n Dash Glide "Wildflower".
These Clam Glam designs from Karlee Porter work as edge to edge, or motifs.
