Created from Eileen Wright's book "More Twist & Turn Bargello", the design is "Argyle". I've made one of these too (a wedding quilt). It is a glorious 104" x 102".
Serious eye candy! This quilter is very new to quilting, and she perhaps had a few choice words for getting her going on this path of making bargello quilts LOL. Everything is easy once you know how, right? I love Eileen's books for clear, precise instructions and keeping everything organized.
But the finish is absolutely amazing! The turquoise surrounded by the light mauve is perfect contrast to have the design just sing!
We double batted this one, with two layers of Hobbs 80/20 batting.
The stitch definition is amazing, but still doesn't overtake the colour and movement of the quilt.
The backing is the same fabric as the outer border, Teal Cosmo.
The digital design we selected is "Pearly Weave" and it creates amazing movement for the bargello.
The thread is Hab 'n Dash Glide "Pistachio", a close match to the inner border and a perfect blender across the quilt. My Bernina Q24 recorded 253,576 stitches in this beauty. That is a lotta stitches!!
