Client Quilt - Another Blossoms and Spokes

This beautiful client quilt is from the Abbey Lane Quilts pattern, "Blossoms and Spokes".  Another as it I've had other client quilts from this design, which is pretty awesome!

The background is pieced from low volume fabrics, giving good structure for a variety of ruler work designs.

There are lots of curves and lines, some gridwork and crosshatching.  Angles and channels.  The basket of blossoms is interesting - it's a full layer of woven finished fabric strips sewn onto the basket background.  I love the falling blossoms!  Getting the background of the spokes to look like one big block, rather than the wedges defined by the spokes, was a fun bit of artistry :)
Cross hatching and curves.
A little bit of grid work adds some fun.
The design on the far right is a favourite - alternating angles with some overlap, creating puffs of unquilted areas, single lines, crosshatching - lots of quilty eye candy!
I managed to catch a late afternoon bit of cloudy outdoor light, perfect for showing off the quilting dimensional stitching.
The back is pretty awesome too!
