As bright as the stripes and dots are, they seem to bring a little bit of order to the bright colours. I really like that the stripes are the entire width of the quilt, like a "Jelly Roll Race" quilt but not!
We knew that the quilting stitches would not show well on the front, but you can see the texture of the digital quilting design.
This quilt does have a beautifully pieced back. The solids show the quilting design beautifully!
Bold stripes, high contrast colours fill out the back.
And one patch of print completes the backing.
The thread for this one is Hab 'n Dash Glide "Lava". A beautiful match to the oranges in the quilt.
The digital design is "Dahlia". It creates lovely texture and fits the theme of the bright floral prints on the quilt top.
The batting for this quilt is Hobbs 80/20. Stitch count on my Bernina Q24 QMatic: 125,982. This is a big, beautiful quilt!
