This is "Plaidish". An absolutely gorgeous quilt from @MuchLoveQuilts.
"Plaidish" is a pattern/design/process from Kitchen Table Quilting, a fabulous study in light/medium/dark values.
Sheila dug into her scrap basket and raided some 5" square packs, and the result is just stunning!
Happy colour, interesting fabrics, contrasts in design and value.
Solids, checks, stripes, prints all work together to create a glorious finish.
Flamingos and feathers, dots and florals.
Forest animals, farm animals, modern and traditional. The masterful combinations are full of joy!
The back has an insert of some very special fabric from a mermaid quilt. And that Post Card print is a Tim Holtz fabric that feels like silk.
The digital quilting design, "Diagonal Plaid" was a perfect fit for this quilt.
For thread, I used Hab 'n Dash Glide "Cool Grey 9", a bright grey.
The batting is Quilters Dream 100% White Cotton, Select loft.
Shhhhh - one of my projects over the next few months are attendant quilts for a very special wedding, I'll be making a stack of these!
