This stunning client quilt is from a Lo & Behold Stitchery pattern, "Mountain Horizon". Created from glorious Essex Yarn Dyed Linens, it is absolutely stunning. Somehow I managed to take all the pictures on this side view. Sheesh!
Quilted with simple rays to highlight the sunshine theme.
Tools for this one - Quilters Apothecary Mystical long straight ruler and circle ruler, hera marker and Sewline Styla Ceramic Washout Blue marker.
I did use a longer rotary cutting ruler to make registrations marks for the long rays. I did not even try to use this for quilting - it is not thick enough and would slip right under the hopping foot, a disaster waiting to happen!
The back of the quilt is more Essex Yard Died Linen, in "Berry" colour. One wee sunshine block appliqued on the back for a zing of fun!
This is such a wonderful quilt! You can see it hanging shortly at Stache Fabrics & Notions!
Stitch count for this one is just shy of 170,000. Batting is a natural 80/20 product, and threads are Hab 'n Dash Glide Light Gray in both top and bobbin.
