Client quilt - Elephant Medallion

This is a quilt from @muchlovequilts - a made-to-order quilt she created for her customer.  I had to hang this from the side instead of the top - it's a big quilt!
I absolutely love this lime-chartruese fabric!  A perfect neutral.

The central medallion fabric features an elephant.

Each new round in the medallion has a beautiful narrow frame.  That red frame really highlights the wee bits of red that are in the aqua print.

It's a very modern medallion quilt!
The back was pieced with nice wide strips.  When piecing the back, I ask for half inch seams, pressed open.  Pressing seams open helps ensure there are no bulky, bumpy seam lines, and the half inch seams ensures there are no seams that are barely there - adding stability to the quilt.

The maker conducted a poll with her followers to select the edge to edge digital pantograph for this one!  "Banana Leaves" was the winner.
In selecting thread, we wanted a gold.  We originally went with Omni Gold.  It looked good when pooled on the quilt, but stitching it out, it was much too dark and flat.  We switched to Hab 'n Dash Glide "Dijon" - a rich yellow-gold.  This thread looks fabulous on so many fabrics, and works perfectly here.
The batting is Quilters Dream 100% Cotton Select loft.
