Client Quilt - Double Wedding Ring

This quilt is a really large Double Wedding Ring.  101" x 113".  The backing started out as a 108" wide back, which the client had washed (I recommend this - removes sizing, pre-shrinks, behaves better on the longarm!!).  In the process of wash/dry the backing shrunk so much it was no longer wide enough.  So she provided a strip of the front fabrics pieced and this was inserted into the backing to make it wide enough.
I hung the quilt out on my porch to get photos ...
The quilting on this was mostly ruler work - the candy cane ribbons in the interior of the melon is freehand, straight lines in the melons, wavy grid in the interior shape, and echoed diamonds in the corners.  Here's a great photo of the quilt on the frame.

A limited number of rulers on this one - my very favourite Mystical Ditcher from Quilters Apothecary, two of the curves from The Quilted Pineapple, and a beautiful curve from Lisa Calle's Quilters Groove Pro Spine ruler for the wavy crosshatching.
With the current pandemic, the client picked up the quilt with our non-contact process, and embargoed the quilt for a few days before she opened the bag.  One of the things I miss the most, is being able to see the client's first reaction to their finished quilt.
Hab 'n Dash Glide thread in a light grey.
Stitch count on this one - 496,676 on my Bernina Q24.
Batting is Hobbs Bleached 80/20.
