Client Quilt - Herringbone

This is a client quilt created for a very special person in their life.  They wanted clean lines and geometric designs.  Ruler work it is!

What a beautiful canvas to let your creativity break out.  I had my Jodi Robinson books by my side for inspiration.
For each row, I created separate designs in the white and the tan.  I started with tessilated triangles and rectangles.  The white in the second row has a variety of straight lines with bumps to create an illusion of a shape under the lines.  Curved crosshatching, lines converging in the corner, and herringbone designs in the herringbone block.
Arcs filled in, radiating rays, curves, another herringbone design.
More wavy lines, arcs, disrupted lines, and Jodi's fantastic bamboo design that also looks a bit like veins.  A swirl spine with herringbone lines.
Rectangle echoes, interrupted lines, and for the very bottom, combining the light and dark into a single herringbone design.  The beauty of an echoed design is magnificent!
The backing for this quilt is a grey Fireside, so warm and cuddly!  The texture - I'm totally loving it!
Used lots of rulers!!  Here's the collection used in this quilt ... Quilters Apothecary straight rulers and arcs and measuring ruler; Gadget Girls Big Shells & Swirls; Quilted Pineapple arcs; HandiQuilter waves; Angela Walters; Lisa Calle's ProLine ruler.  My trusty Style Sewline water erasible marker for registration dots, that just spritzes off.
This was a multiple day quilt, and I loved coming down to see the previous day's progress all set up to start the next rows.
Rolling up to see the texture on the back ...

This photo is the quilt still on the frame for its final inspection before dismounting ...
This one was quilted with Wonderfil Master Quilter thread in White, with prewound DecoBob bobbin.  In this quilt, 214,000+ stitches on my beautiful Bernina Q24.
