Client Quilt - Bikinis

Totally awesome, totally fun quilt - Bikinis!
My instructions for this quilt - have fun - think "beach".  Oh my, this was pure joy to quilt.  My client is planning on adding some belly rings!  The pattern design is from Lorna at Sew Fresh Quilts.  You might be able to see this if you visit The Marsh Store!
In the quilting, I tried to tell a story of a day at the beach.
The top quilting row is a row of sunshine - the SouthWest Sun (Wasatch Quilting) was perfect.
Next is a B2B "Dainty Dragonfly" (Anne Bright).  This also echoes the dragonfly in the blue batik bikini. Dragonflies love the beach! At our cottage, they show up in full force just at the end of black fly season, in a multitude of sizes and colours.  Fun fact - another good place to find dragonflies - walk through a field of commercial corn when it's pollinating <with permission of the farmer, obv>!

Next up - joining the people is their friendly puppy - "Paw Tracks" (Karen Thompson).  By the size of these paws, this puppy is really big, drools a lot, and loves jumping in the water, running on the sand, and riding in the canoe - maybe even chasing dragonflies?
Flip Flops are required at the beach ... and here is "Flip Flop Fun" (Anne Bright).

Harbour Wave (Patricia Ritter) is a perfectly flowing, swirly design for the water.

Concluding the beach story, Dolphin Dance (Lorien Quilting).  You can see this a bit better on the fabulous Fireside Pink backing!
The plot twist ... this fabulous Shark (Wasatch).
