This sweet quilt is a sample for Michealanne's wonderful shop, Stache Fabrics & Notions in downtown London. Ask her about her kits for this quilt!
These fabrics are from the Cotton + Steel "Kibori" collection. The pattern is "Dovetail" by Atkinson Designs.
This teal stripy fabric is one of my favourites! With the varied wee shots of lots of colour, it coordinates well with many fabrics. Plus, well, teal!
I quilted echoed zigs and zags. The lines are irregular so they have lots of depth and dimension.
The diamonds formed in the cross-over of the zigs and zags are fun!
The thread for the majority of the stitching is Hab 'n Dash Glide 'Prickly Pear", which is a fantastic match for the chartreuse / yellow-greenish shades. And we added a shot of Hab 'n Dash Glide "Firestorm" and a shot of Aurifil "Spring Green" for extra interest.
To keep my lines under control, especially quilting upwards, I used Lisa Calle's "Quilters Groove Proline 2" ruler.

How wonderful is the back!! Moda Grunge Ash is a beautiful finish for this fun, funky quilt.
