Client Quilt - Batik Jelly Roll Beauty

First client quilt for 2019 and it is a beauty!  I took some personal time in January so am just getting back to quilting for clients.
This quilt is this new quilter's first quilt.  Look at those points - they all point!!  Seam intersections all intersect beautifully.  Sashing and borders were all straight and flat.  The seams were perfectly pressed flat.  I hope this quilter keeps sending me lots of quilts!!
The design selected for this quilt is "U-Turns" by Mike Fountain, from Intelligent Quilting.
The design is full of curves and lines that complement the blocks in the quilt very nicely.  The rows overlap so it was interesting to set up!

I also got to piece the back for this one - from a swath of 8 yards of glorious cotton.  The math worked out wonderfully - the quilt is 90" x 108".  The backing fabric was 8 yards (288").  Divide by 3 to get three strips of 96".  With the WOF 40" x 3 that's 120" for the length. Two cuts, trim off selveges, two seams and it was ready to load.
Absolutely adore the colours in this quilt - full of purples and teals.

For the thread, we selected Hab 'n Dash Glide "Eggplant" for both top and bottom thread.  A beautiful sheen but doesn't outshine the quilt.  The batting is Quilters Dream 100% cotton.

My Bernina QMatic 24 calculated 123,600+ stitches in this quilt.
