This is a very special family quilt, created to be treasured and added to as more babies join the family.
The tree was designed by the patriarch. Her very first quilt, this client appliqued the trees, leaves and apples. The apples represent the babies, and the family ancestor names are appliqued along the roots, tree trunk and branches.
I have blurred out all the name details, so if something looks a little wonky it may be my lack of photo editing ;)
I quilted a sun in the top corner, and windy fill. Along the tree roots, a rocky base with a row of daisies. Among the roots, fractured stone and pebbles are the foundation the tree springs from.
