What a great treasure to work on this wonderful client quilt!
The pattern is "Mountain Morning" from Bonnie Hunter's "Leaders & Enders" book. The client created this beauty with scrappy browns and blues with a creamy background, and it just sparkles. The piecing was beautiful, with pointy points and matching corners. What a dream to work on!
The quilting request was for an edge-to-edge design. We decided to go with the pantograph by Patricia Ritter "Marfa", which has wonderful swirls with spikes.
Top thread is a pale blue Glide 60 wt, bobbin thread is Wonderfil Decobob 80 wt in a darker blue. The result is texture, texture, texture.
