SOLO and Kelly

Today (Sunday Oct 15) was just an amazing day.  The SOLO (Southern Ontario Longarm Operators) group held our autumn meeting in Elmira.  The drive was beautiful with the leaves full in their glory before they complete their annual mission.

Kelly Cline was the speaker at our meeting today - she did a trunk show and a demo.  Let me just say it straight up - I came away from the day inspired and energized.  And full of gratitude for the people that I've met in quilting.  I have found quilters to be actively lifting each other up, encouraging and inspiring one another to try new things, sharing their tips and tricks.

I loved hearing about Kelly's bravery in trying new things, her philosophy that she will figure it out, whatever 'it' happens to be.  A little bit of 'fake it until you make it' - or, believe in yourself.

These are just a few snippets of Kelly's work.  Go to her website or Facebook group Quilting Vintage! and check her out!  If you ever have a chance to see Kelly or her work, do it!
