Today started off with a spectacular sunrise, extraordinarily warm, with autumn leaves gently swirling - it was a beautiful moment to soak up strength for the day. And boy did I need it - it was a huge fire-fighting day at work.
But I still had energy at the end of the day, playing with a new block design. It's from the Nov/Dec '10 edition of "Quiltmaker" magazine, Anita Grossman Solomon's "Anita's Arrowhead" pattern. It's very efficient - no wasted fabric, a very clever technique that I'm really liking! The article gives instructions to make an 8" block, and I also made two 12" blocks and a 15" block.
Also on my design board, one of the "10 Minute Blocks" from this technique ...
