Have been working on a quilt for my nephew and his fiance for their baby - due in about 4 weeks now.
Just the binding to go!
My nephew is colour-blind so most colours are just muddy, but his favorite is orange. His fiance's favorite combo is red/white with a dash of red. Hence, one side for each. The red/white/red work well for new babies, they see the contrasts.
This quilt was constructed using the 'shortcut quilt' method - each square is constructed with the batting and backing part of the square, as you go. The sashes connect the squares and the only finishing left is the binding!
