Robin Pickens is featured everywhere in this quilt! The bright fabrics are from Robin's "Tulip Tango" line, the pattern is Robin's "Tightrope" and the backing is Robin's "Thatched" in Graphite.
We used Anne Bright's "Paisley Curls & Swirls" digital edge to edge quilting design, to echo the beautiful paisleys in the fabrics.
The dark negative space and the linear elements in the quilting design, with the bright fabric pops, work together to create a dramatic and elegant quilt. We used black Hobbs 80/20 batting to intensify the dark background.
The paisley swirls in the digital design add movement and texture.
The quilting thread is Glide "Shadow" - not quite black, just a bit lighter shade to show the texture of the quilting stitches. The quilt is 46" x 56".
