Longarming for others brings some amazing quilts into my life.
This quilt is created from panels that have been stitched with thread that this maker hand-dyed.
The panels have all the same shape of the stitched design.
What I saw when considering how to quilt this, was the beautiful shapes that might be created if the design of the threads were rippled outwards.
Using Isacord "Lustre" thread, those ripples stitched through and out for each block, are organic and reflect the whimsy of the embroidered design.
Borders and sashing all have half inch double lines to create a frame for the embroidery in each panel.
The backing of this quilt is a beautiful wide back with watery shades and shapes.
