Client Quilt - Retro Spin

This beauty is from @muchlovequilts.  The pattern is #amaliesupersized from @gedesignsgudrun.

The prints are Retro Westminister fabrics, with Kona "Ivy" for the accent.

This looks like a promise of spring - beautiful florals with calming greenery.

Stripes and arcs fit right in with all the florals.

The digital design, "Macintosh Rose" echoes the floral theme.

The backing continues the bright florals throughout the quilt.  This is a pieced backing.  One of my favourite things about working with @muchlovequilts is the fantastic notes she has with the quilting information.  She always lets me know the fabrics, pattern and her vision for the quilt.  And she adds diagrams to ensure we're on the same page - in this case, how to load the pieced backing so the prints are in the correct orientation.  I love this!!  
 

We auditioned three threads - all Hab 'n Dash Glide - "Celery", "Thyme" and "Light Olive".  The Celery was too light, the Thyme too dark, the Light Olive was just right!

Quilters Dream 100% Cotton, Select loft is the batting in this beauty.
