This is "Flower Pop", a wall hanging made from the full size quilt pattern of Sew Kind of Wonderful. The flowers are created using the Wonder Curve Ruler.
I am doing a class shortly on the Sew Kind of Wonderful rulers, and wanted another sample. Above, the quilt is on the frame of my new Innova M28, and the two main rulers I used are Quilted Apothecary's Mystical Ditcher straight ruler (with the signature red handle) and an arc ruler from The Quilted Pineapple.
This Innova M28 is just so beautiful! The wall hanging is dwarfed by the 12' frame!

Shadow play on the stitching shows the dimension you get from ruler work.
Simple straight lines and curves.
Light fill in the flower petals.
Love a good border! The double-beadboard really frames the piece well. The arcs and leafy shapes add intersest. The corner arc design with just a bit of crosshatching makes me happy!
The gentle arcs in the blue flower create lots of motion.
Background lines and arcs and crosshatching help create movement and interest.
Who loves a good back!
For this wall hanging I used Quilters Dream 70% cotton / 30% poly batting for the base layer, a great product to stabilize the quilt and help it lay flat. The top layer of batting is Arctic's 100% Poly Perfect, with a medium loft. Stitched with Hab 'n Dash Glide "Warm Grey 4" thread. Not quite 70,000 stitches.
