Client Quilt - Caramel Burgoyne Surrounded

This is a quite modern rendition of a traditional quilt pattern.  The colour blocking in this version is really interesting!
The digital design, "Bread Basket" from @urban.elementz is very cool with its undulating, nesting rows.
The quilting adds wonderful layer of texture.
It would have been fun to see the design wall as this quilt came together!
This backing!!  The most amazing insect fabric, absolutely spectacular!
Here is my longarming tip for dealing with vertical seams in the backing ... first, try not to have a vertical seam!  Horizontal seams are handled better on the frame, as they are parallel to the rails, so they roll up with no issues.  Vertical seams end up with different tension than the rest of the backing fabric - leaving you with sagging and bagging on either side of those seams.  Here, you can see I've wrapped some scrap batting around the backing rail, right up close to that vertical seam, on both sides.  That makes the tension even across the rail for the backing fabric.  Works really well!  Be sure to keep these extra bits of batting out of the quilting path when you get close to the bottom.
This is the digital design from Urban Elementz.  It stitches out beautifully.

Hab 'n Dash "Dijon" thread was a great match for the goldish blocks making up the accent piecing across the quilts.
We used Quilters Dream 100% Cotton Select loft for a light and airy finish.  My Bernina Q24 with QMatic recorded 92,000+ stitches in this 75" x 90" quilt.
