Heartwood

This is "Heartwood".
The pattern is from Lynne Goldsworthy of lilysquilts.blogspot.com, available as a free download from Andover Fabrics.
The pattern beautifully showcases the fabric line from Figo Fabrics, “Forest Fable” collection by Esther Fallon Lau.  The background is the magnificent Moda Grunge Grey Paper.
Owls, moody forests, antlers, woodland creatures, stylized arrows are all in this beautiful fabric.
The greys, browns and blues are wonderful together.
The quilting design is "Birchwood" from Patricia Ritter, available at Urban Elementz.
The batting is Quilters Dream "Orient", it drapes beautifully, is lightweight and airy.
The backing is Moda's "Thatched Graphite" by Robin Pickens.
It is crinkly as it is well loved!  The photos were taken at our cottage, as I didn't manage to get any photos before it went home with my middlest!  It has been one of the cuddly spots for her new kittens.  These kitties have been practicing their travelling, so they would be somewhat prepped for the loooooong drive to the cottage.  The training and prep was well done, as they had a very successful trip!  The quilt was finished in 2021, but didn't get photos until summer 2022.
My business logo graces a corner - this was digitized by Maureen Foster of Humble Bee Quilting.

Hab 'n Dash "Warm Grey 4" is a bit of a chameleon - it looks grey on the greys and blues, light brown on the browns.

This is the digital design, "Birchwood".
My beautiful Bernina Q24 with Qmatic recorded 202,332 stitches in this one!
