Client Quilt - Fantastic Circle

This amazing client quilt is called "Fantastic Circle".  The quilt pattern is designed by Erin Underwood and is created using the 15 Degree Triangle Ruler.  I absolutely love the colour flow around the quilt!  The creator of this quilt added a piano key border on the outside to size it up to 93" square.
In the outer border, I stitched random diagonal lines, creating crosshatches.

The inner black border has melons filled with ribbon candy in the corners, and a variety of feathers extending out from the melons.
The checkerboard border has continuous curves/twists.
The centre has swirls connecting the curves.

Where do you draw your inspiration from?  This pink Depression Glass is one of my favourite things, it is my fruit dish on my kitchen counter.  The opposing arcs in the glass design is what I tried to replicate in the central arcs of this quilt!
The feathers in each corner are different types.  These ones are like ribbon ends.
And this is one of my very favourite backings!  It is "Elements", a digital print from P&B Textiles.
Even though it is a busy print, it does show the stitching designs pretty well!
This quilt is headed for the maker's son's house, as a wall hanging!  And it will be on display at the We used 2 layers of batting - a base layer of Hobbs 80/20 for stability, and a layer of Quilters Dream "Dream Puff" for its loft.

Threads were colour matched - all Hab 'n Dash Glide - "Coral" for the red, "Dijon" for the yellow, "Peacock" for the purple and "Cloud" for the blue.  Stitch count in this beauty is 186,748.
