I have the best clients! This is an absolutely stunning king size quilt, impeccably pieced. She adapted the quilt pattern from Cozy Quilts Designs pattern, "Sunburst".
The fabrics are the amazing collection of Stilleto / Black Dress by Basic Grey, with grunge background. The stars are all created from half square triangles. That is a *lot* of HST's!

The backing is also a Moda fabric - Zen Chic's "Modern Background".

The digital design the client selected is "Sea of Stars" - fitting to the theme "Night, Night". A beautiful array of stars and swoops and curls.
For the thread (Hab 'n Dash Glide), we were playing with different thread shades of caramel, wheat, linen, light grey. In the end, the shade "Warm Grey 4" was the winner. It is kind of magical, a chameleon thread - looks like warm brown against the browns, light grey against the greys, cream against the whites.
The batting is Quilters Dream 100% Cotton, Select loft, natural.
My Bernina Q24 recorded not quite 211,000 stitches in this beauty.
