This fabulous client quilt is "Snow Birds". From the maker's description: "Snow Birds is a modern flying geese throw sized quilt. This quilt started with the backing fabric “Smitten” by Bonnie & Camille. The colours were pulled to the front of the quilt with these bold beautiful solid blocks. Professionally long arm quilted by the Quilting Biker in a fun edge to edge design (Earth Wind & Fire) with coral thread which perfectly matches one of the solids. Navy print binding is attached by machine. Quilt pattern is Gander from the book Rock Solid by Karen M. Burns."

Here, it's still on the frame. The digital design, "Earth, Wind & Fire" is a terrific design with swirls and flames and curves and points - it works with many designs. Here, it is a wonderful contrast to the sharp edges of the geometric shapes in the flying geese units.
The selvage is still attached in this photo, showing the colour registration marks. These marks (often just circles, but wondereful hearts on this fabric) indicate what colours are in the print. They are an easy, helpful guide to pull matching fabrics. In this case, the maker had all solids for the front of the quilt, matching that glorious back.
