Cllient Quilt - After the Rain

There's been some secret sewing going on in the studio!!  This delight debuted at the Tamarinis booth in Houston at Quilt Market!!
Tamarinis is a quilt pattern designer, an ambassador for Island Batiks, a quilt teacher; and I had the great blessing to quilt this sample for her!  She didn't even see it after it was complete, it went straight to the Island Batik office.
The pattern is called "After the Rain" and is a funky, modern piece with lots of opportunities for interest in the fabrics and the quilting.
It's so sweet!!
For the quilting, each flower got a little wreath, and this was echoed in the plain blocks.  A little stylized picket fence from straight lines and ribbon candy, separated the flowers.
Here it is joining the quilty party at the Tamarinis booth in Houston Quilt Market!
It's pretty fun seeing a something you had a hand in, hanging at a spot like this!!

This quilt received Hobbs 80/20 bleached batting, and was quilted with Hab 'n Dash Glide "Key Lime" thread!
