Have you had your dose of adorable yet today? How sweet are these pups in sweaters! This client quilt is a very special piece, a memory quilt heading to the client's nephew. The 'sweaters' are from his Grandmother's blouses.
There are lots of geometric designs, lots of dimension. Lots of ruler work, my favourite! Sprinkled in some free motion quilting too.
The top got an added quilted border - could be diamonds, could be "X's" and "O's".
That big swirl felt like sunshine being added to the quilt.
Oops - didn't get a final photo - went back in to that open area and added more quilting.
One puppy has a heart quilted and echoed.
This puppy has glasses! So adorable.
The bottom has a diamond border quilted to echo the top border.
The back is a beautiful 'Fireside' fabric - so soft! The thread just sinks in.
The batting for this quilt is Hobbs 80/20 poly/cotton. Thread is Superior Thread's So Fine for the top and Bottom Line for the bobbin.
The Bernina Q24 counts about 80,600 stitches in this quilt!
